Can I buy cricket bats online

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

You can buy cricket bats online, of course you can, it is harder to find something you can not buy online, however that being said there are some things you should be aware of before you dive in and buy the first cricket bat you see advertised.

The things you need to consider would include, is this the right bat for me, is this a brand I have heard of a

nd trust and what is the returns policy if I choose the wrong bat?

Is this the right cricket bat for me? – that is quite a question and one that really is dependent on the individual asking it, you need to consider how serious you are about your game when thinking about the bat you want, there are barges to be had on line but cheap is always going to mean low quality. Thinking about brands and trusted names can be the key to the perfect bat at the best price.

Is the cricket bat from a brand name you trust, more and more sports equipment manufactures are supplying cricket bats now but what do you really know about them, some that you could think about might include Puma,  Slazenger, Salix, Woodworm and Bradbury cricket bats there are many more to consider.

When you have found what you think is the perfect cricket bat for your needs you need to consider the online retailers policy on returns and refunds, on a good retail site these terms and conditions are spelled out fairly clearly, but it is always worth checking them over so you are confident you know where you stand.

So in conclusion the answer is still yes you can buy cricket bats online and as long as you follow these simple rules and buy from a quality retailer it should be a pain free experience.

where can I buy cricket bats online?

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

As there are so many retailers online trying to sell you cricket bats and cricket equipment it is probably a good question to ask as not all online retailers offer the same deals.

The first thing I would recommend it that you try and buy a well known brand such as Woodworm, next you need to consider if you know this retailer or if you trust them and thirdly what type of guarantee are you going to get with your purchase.

The first and third points are connected, I would always buy a brand of Cricket bat that I knew of and trusted because if I need to return it or replace it sooner than I think I should I want to have the knowledge that a professional brand is behind me, they want to protect their reputation and so they are less likely to let me down.

The next point is the retailer, is it a brand name shop that I know from the high street, or a manufactures that is selling direct or is it a company that is new to me, if it is one of the first two I tend to have some trust already but if I do not know the retailer I need to be convinced, to they have price match guarantees so I can not but the same bat elsewhere for less, do they offer free delivery or any other special offers?

The last point is what is the exchange policy, some stores will allow you to return a bat or any reason you like others will only take it back if it is damaged, you need to decide what level of service you are willing to pay for.

So the question is more about are you happy with the online shop you are using to buy your new cricket bats rather than what one to use.

what are the best cricket bats?

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

What a big question to ask and as anyone who plays cricket knows it is a question that occupies the minds of a great number of players.

The main reason for wanting to know what are the best cricket bats is so that you can go out and buy one and hit that little bit further, or more accurately or with more power, but the truth is it is not so much the best bat that makes this

difference but the best bat for you.

Each batter is an individual and each bat even though it is made to the same size and specifications from the same wood is also an individual, matching the correct grip, curve, size and sweet spot of the bat to the batter is the art.

There are some things you should look for in a bat if you are looking for the best possible cricket bat and they would include Manufacturer, Materials and Weight.

Going with a manufacturer you know and trust is a huge thing, sport is won and lost in the mind, if you trust your equipment you can concentrate on your stroke not worrying if the cricket bat is going to let you down.

Materials, I am a firm believer that a first class cricket bat must be made of Grade 1 English Willow anything else is just not wroth considering.

You need to ensure you know what weight bat you are most comfortable with, the best manufactures such as Woodworm offer a range of weights to choose from, find the one that best suits your game.

Once you have worked through these requirements you have have a short-list of potential bats to choose from, go test them and pick the once that is best for you.
